Ingredients

Instructions:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine besan, Food grade soda ash,Oil, and salt. Mix well.
    • Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a firm dough. Make sure the dough is little hard.
    • kneed the dough for 10 minites or until it becomes soft and smooth. ( add little water if needed)
    • Give rest to the dough for 15 minites.
    • Divide the dough into small portions and add blackpaper and carrom seeds
    • Roll each portion into a thin rope-like shape using your palms. Keep them aside.
    • Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat.
    • Once the oil is hot, carefully drop a few rolled gathiya into the hot oil. Fry them for 2 minites.
    • Do not overcrowd the pan, fry them in batches.
    • Once fried, remove the gathiya from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
    • Sprical some asafoetida (hing) on hot gathiya.
    • Repeat the frying process with the remaining dough.
